With that done, we head northward, fighting our way through swarms of the usual zombies. It gives us an excuse to watch the dying flames, and should make the area a little safer to cross. We pass the office building again and decide to do a little cleanup. The next two hardware stores are just plumbing supply shops, and don't have a lot of stuff we need. Gasoline zombies are everywhere now, and poo poo is always on fire, especially as these zombies frequently get themselves killed and start fires offscreen. We watch four or five juggernauts burn themselves in the flames, chasing the sound of the building collapsing. Up the street, a huge office building is on fire. We haul everything out to this gigantic flatbed truck. I'm all for new creature types but their spawn rate really shouldn't be that crazy imo That didn't solve the problem btw because there were just too drat many infested corpses hidden in the nooks of the lab. I used debug god-mode to investiagte them after I concluded that I wasn't beating them and was literally throwing grenades at my feet to make it through the sea of critters. I did post about my first encounter with them inside of a lab in the game thread and it was a completely ridiculous horde type situation. Out in the open it's a lot less of a problem but I can absolutely underscore the fact that you should just run ASAP if you meet them in a lab. Oh boy I was sort of waiting for these shits to be shown. The trick here is to ignore the runners and drones and hit the stalks and trees, as well as any clusters. If you have a way to mitigate electrical damage it can be doable, but otherwise it's usually a waste of effort.

They shoot electricity like shockers, if the little ones kill anything they will use its corpse to upgrade to one of the larger forms, they reproduce like crazy, and they have a special attack that always targets your torso with pretty decent stab damage.
